Mat Classes
A Mat class is designed to use the body's own opposition to correct muscular imbalances caused by everyday life and its repetitive patterns. There are a variety of classes from which to choose. We can challenge the advanced student and provide the beginner with a solid foundation.

Continuing Education
Bodies in Balance offers continuing education workshops for Pilates teachers, students, and other movement professionals. Among the teachers we have hosted:

In the afternoon, you will refresh your knowledge of the pelvis and
examine how we can integrate this information into a practical
teaching session or class. This workshop will include examples of
• The Pelvis within the Mat Work
• The Pelvis within the Reformer Work

In this workshop you will gain a better understanding of how the shoulder girdle functions within Pilates exercise. You will explore how the shoulder girdle adapts functionally to the changing spinal mechanics in exercises. This workshop will include examples of:
• The Shoulder Girdle within the Cadillac Work
• The Shoulder Girdle within the Reformer Work
• Stretch Out Strap ® work for Shoulder Girdle to prepare for equipment work

Pat Guyton is the owner of Pat Guyton Pilates, Inc and founder of the Pilates Conservatory, a comprehensive Pilates training program. Pat has been teaching Pilates for over 23 years in Boulder, Colorado and has presented at both national and international venues. She has studied with four of the first generation teachers-- Bruce King, Kathy Grant, Mary Bowen, and Ron Fletcher. Pat has also served on the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) Board of Directors since 2002 and is a PMA CEC provider.
